Description
Description of the tour
Upon arrival at the port of Port Said, your Tour Guide will pick you up at the exit of the ship and take you to Cairo in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. The journey takes about 3 hours. On the way, there are 1 or 2 stopovers at small service areas to stand up or take a breakfast.
There you will be welcomed by our tour guide who will accompany you throughout the tour. The excursion begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which exhibits more than 120,000 works of art. The museum’s entire collection includes pieces from the Old, Middle and New Kingdom as well as the exhibition of King Tut Anch Amun.
Immediately afterwards you will be driven to one of the seven wonders of the world: The Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The pyramid visit ends at the Sphinx and surrounding temples. Then you have your lunch in a local restaurant Finally, you will have the opportunity to go shopping in the markets of Cairo.
Tour itinerary
1. Pyramids of Giza
At 6:00 am Pickup from your hotel by our expert Licensed tour guide and Transfer to Cairo which almost 220km Arrival to Cairo Start your Full Day Tour Visiting the Great Pyramids – Cheops, Chephren & Mykerinos then Visit the Valley Temple where the Priests Mummified the dead body of King Chephre. 3 hours approx.

2. Great Sphinx
Also there you will have a close-up look at The Sphinx – The legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of king Chephren. 30 minutes.
3. Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)
The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin of a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many buildings of Khufu are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For example, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty. 30 minutes.
4. Khafre’s Pyramid
Khafre’s pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, Reisner, 30 minutes.
5. Menkaure Pyramid
Menkaure’s pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure. 30 minutes.
6. The Museum of Egyptian
Antiquities Continue your day tour to the Egyptian Museum of antiquities. It displays the largest and most precious items of the Egyptian art in the world. It exhibits a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts that date as far back as 5000 years, including an exclusive exhibit dedicated to the TutankhAmon – A collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that were buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before they were discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated. 2 hours.
7. Khan Al-Khalili
Then Visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The innumerous shops in this district are known for trading fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques and much more. At the end of the Tour you will be transferred back to your Hotel or in port said.
At the end of the day you will be driven back to the port.
