Lefkada is well-known for its stunning beaches! While you may have seen numerous photos of the famous shores, nothing compares to experiencing them in person. The sandy and pebbly beaches with their captivating turquoise waters, set against a backdrop of untamed nature, are truly awe-inspiring. Allow us to paint a picture for you…The stunning cliffs, sun-kissed white sands, and sparkling turquoise waters of the Ionian beaches form some of the most beautiful seaside settings you’ll ever come across! Porto Katsiki, Egremni, and Kathisma are among the top favorites, known for attracting many visitors and being perfect for photos. For those seeking more secluded spots, Mylos, Kalamitsi, and Kaminia offer a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle, where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquility.
When talking about beaches, water sports are one of the top activities to enjoy. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba diving, and all kinds of beach-related fun are a must. For a different experience, consider chartering a boat and sailing to nearby islets like the famous Skorpios Islet. In addition to its sandy shores, Lefkada offers visitors quaint seaside villages such as Nidri and Agios Nikitas. There are also plenty of picturesque natural spots to explore, like Dimosari waterfalls, along with delicious cuisine and a variety of exciting activities to try out!

Beyond Lefkada Town, you’ll find notable landmarks like the picturesque lighthouse at Cape Lefkada, the stunning Faneromeni monastery (perfect for sunset views), and the hidden gem Melissa gorge. Morning departure from Athens for the island of poets and the endless blue, the beautiful Lefkada.
On our route through Rio Antirio we will make our first stop in Aetoliko, the “Venice of Greece”. We will do our walk and have free time for coffee. We continue our route with the next stop, Astakos. A wonderful seaside place on the Ionian coast where we can enjoy a meal (individual expenses) by the sea. Then passing through Palairos, we end up in beautiful Lefkada! Upon our arrival, we will visit Moni Faneromeni, a men’s monastery which is the oldest and largest of the island and also the patron saint. We will then be transferred to our hotel to settle in. In the evening we will watch with delight the procession of the epitaphs of the churches of the city that meet in the central square. Overnight.
After our breakfast we will start our tour of the city of Lefkada. We will start from the park of the poets, the well-known Bosqueto as the locals call it with the busts of famous men, such as Aggelos Sikelianos, Aristotelis Valaoritis and others. We will admire historic churches of the 17th and 18th centuries, with influences from different architectural styles, such as Agios Nikolaos, Agios Minas and Agios Spyridons. We will move through the narrow alleys and cantons with the colored “tin” houses and the flower pots, we will see historical houses that were saved from the earthquakes, such as the house-museum of the poet Sikelianos and the mansion of Zoulinos and we will end up in the central square for the custom of the “track”. This custom dates back to the years of the Venetian occupation and is reminiscent of the custom of the “Botides” of neighboring Corfu.
We will have free time to move around the city. Then we will gather to cross the Eastern side of the island, we will pass through the villages of Lygia and Nikiana to end up at the southern end and the idyllic Vasiliki, a famous seaside village of Lefkada. We will take a walk in the colorful alleys or enjoy a coffee in its picturesque port. Return to our hotel, rest and in the evening we will depart to attend the Resurrection ceremony in Nydri, where we will also have our Resurrection dinner. Return to our hotel and stay overnight.
Our day today will be more relaxed. After our breakfast we will depart for the famous Nydri, which became a popular destination when great international personalities began to visit it, guests of the wealthy Aristotle Onassis. Nydri has an incredible view towards Prigiponisia, but also the whole surrounding landscape is idyllic. We will walk the cobbled streets while you can buy local products. For those who wish, we will have time for a mini-cruise (individual expenses) to Princes, where we will see Skorpios, Madouri (property of the Valaoritis family), Meganissi, Sparti and Skorpidi. In Nydri we will enjoy our Easter meal with Easter delicacies and music. Return to our hotel. The evening is free for our last walks in the city of Lefkada. Overnight.
Good morning! For breakfast today, our driver will be taking you to the picturesque village of Agios Nikitas, located right by the water. Take some time to wander through the charming stone alleys of the village, which are lined with cozy tavernas, cafes, and souvenir shops.
Just a short distance away from Agios Nikitas is Kathisma beach. Kathisma Beach in western Lefkada is famous for its stunning beauty. The long stretch of white sand and clear turquoise waters make it a popular destination for tourists. The deep seabed and mountainous backdrop add to the charm of this cosmopolitan beach. Visiting Kathisma Beach is a truly enchanting experience, perfect for sunbathing and enjoying the summer sun.
Kathisma Beach is known for its well-organized layout, offering plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. There are beach bar facilities located close to the sandy shore where you can enjoy a drink, grab a snack, or even plan a special event. In addition, Kathisma Beach is a semi-popular spot for naturists, and with its frequent waves, it is also a great place for water sports enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy activities like tandem paragliding and windsurfing along the shore. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight.
Breakfast and we leave behind the beautiful island that hosted us and head for Lake Trichonida, the 2nd largest lake in Greece. Passing through very beautiful villages of the lake, we will end up at Patrokosmas Monastery, a women’s monastery dedicated to Agios Kosmas Aitolos. There is also part of the shrine of the relic for pilgrimage.
We continue to the village of Thermos, known since ancient times for the meetings of the great popular federal assembly of the Aitolians, the “Thermikas”. We will have free time and then make our way back to Athens, full of beautiful images. The order of the guided tours can be changed for the best execution of the program, without omitting anything from what is written in it.
