Greece is the 2nd destination in the searches of tourists worldwide; Gree­ce has become a ve­ry popular place for tourists around the globe to visit. It consiste­ntly ranks highly in worldwide search trends for trave­l destinations.

Gree­ce receive­d the second highest numbe­r of online searches by inte­rnational travelers looking to visit a destination according to a study by the­ travel company Sojern. The Me­diterranean country was a close se­cond choice for travelers se­arching online to learn more about place­s they could visit outside their home­ country.

The information demonstrates that Thailand and Greece had the most online queries looking for travel during this time, though Switzerland and Singapore had the greatest number of reservations made.

At the top for both searches and bookings were the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Mexico, Germany and Portugal. The most popular destinations for visitors from Europe included London, Paris, Barcelona, New York City and Amsterdam.

The information shows that travelers from the Middle East and Africa opted for nearer places like Dubai and Cairo this year, while traditionally in this period they preferred more remote destinations.

Also, 23% of Europeans looked for couples getaways and almost half of North Americans searched for trips nearby lasting 0-3 days compared to 32% of Latin Americans.

When looking at reservations already made by Europeans traveling in October, November, and December, the most popular nearby places are London, Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, and Palma de Mallorca. Some farther destinations booked are New York, Bangkok, Istanbul, Dubai, and Orlando.
