Easter In Corfu Island

Corfu Easter

Experience the one-of-a-kind Corfu Greek Easter celebration

Experience the famous Easter in Corfu this year, one of the most beautiful, most ritualistic and above all, the most melodic in Greece. The chandeliers of the cathedral tremble in the darkness under the sounds of the church organ at the moment of Christ’s death. The philharmonic orchestras play mournful marches accompanying the Epitaphs in Liston, while the whole city is painted in purple light. And after the breaking of the jugs comes the turn to play the joyful marches. Easter celebrations in Corfu do not resemble the traditional Greek customs, with which we have identified this holiday.

Corfu Easter
Exceptional Corfu island 5-Days

Immerse yourself in the enchanting Corfu Easter festivities this year, known for its breathtaking beauty, rich traditions, and soul-stirring music in Greece.

The candles flicker in the dimly lit church as the organ fills the air with melancholic tunes marking the moment of Christ’s passing.

Philharmonic orchestras serenade the Epitaphs procession at Liston, painting the town in a mesmerizing purple glow. The solemn melodies give way to lively marches as the clay pots are shattered, ushering in a joyful atmosphere.

The Easter celebrations in Corfu are a unique and vibrant departure from the typical Greek customs associated with this holiday.

The Ionian Islands have a special beauty, thanks to the extraordinary combination of crystal-clear waters and lush greenery that reaches the sea.

And Corfu is their “Queen”. We will discover the magic of this island through visits to the most important historical monuments, the picturesque cantounia, the traditional villages with stunning views and getting to know the locals and their products.

It may be known for its Easter customs, but Corfu has much more to offer, as long as one follows this unique journey with Athens Tours Greece!
