Day 1: Athens, Amphisa, Lamia, Thermopylae, Meteora
The tour will start from Athens early in the morning, with the driver taking you to the two days adventure you will always remember, through a lovely and scenic route.
You will drive through Central Greece towards the fertile plain of Thessaly (birthplace of Achilles), and you will reach the town of Kalambaka that nests at the feet of Meteora late in the afternoon, after almost 4 hours.
You will have the chance to visit two of the Meteora monasteries on this first day of the private tour.

Twenty-four monasteries were founded from 1350 to 1500 AD, but with the ravages of time and over the centuries most of the monasteries in Meteora were deserted, fell in ruins and few exist today. In the early 18th century the decline of monasticism started and as a result, both the number of monasteries, the number of monks was reduced, and quite a few monks ensured their survival and restructuring.
You will have a free evening and overnight in Kastraki, Kalambaka.
Day 2: Visit Meteora, Amphissa, Lamia, Athens
The second day of the tour will take you to a thorough tour of the Meteora Monasteries, allowing you to spend more time on the spectacular rocks. Keep in mind that due to the specific regulations, you should dress accordingly, in respect to the monks and nuns living there.
After the visit to the Monasteries, you will have a tasteful lunch where you can try some of the local flavors and wines.
After lunch, the driver will take you to the Theopetra Cave that dates back to 50.000 BC, and then you will take the road back to Athens, passing by important towns of Greece, such as Amfissa prefecture and Lamia.
The tour ends late in the afternoon in Athens.

- Opening Hours and Entrance Fees for Archaeological Sites and Museums in Greece
- Entrance Fees for Children from Non-EU Countries: Starting November 1st, 2019, children aged 6 and above from non-European Union (non-EU) countries will be required to pay the full entrance fee for Museums and Archaeological sites. For children from EU countries, the existing rates remain in effect. However, it is crucial to have their passports readily available to prove their nationality.

- Due to uneven surfaces, certain sites are not recommended for persons with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair. Such sites are the Acropolis, the Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, Mycenae, Delphi and Meteora
